To help our community flourish, we engage in a number of strategic partnerships that allow us to practice faithful presence and love our neighbors well.
Manna House is our outreach to combat food insecurity in our community. Manna House primarily serves as an emergency food pantry in partnership with the Central PA Food Bank. Future plans for Manna House involve launching a café ministry in our facility. If you’d like to volunteer with Manna House, click the button below to contact Chrissy Sanders.
If you need emergency food assistance, please contact Manna House directly at mannahouseca@gmail.com.
One of the most exciting things happening in our facility every week is the ongoing work of Thrive. Thrive equips people from diverse cultures with language and culture skills and provides opportunities to integrate in and serve the community. Thrive provides language classes, legal services, and more. They also host a weekly language café and monthly international takeout meals.
Family Promise is an organization that equips families to break the cycle of homelessness. Several weeks throughout the year, we have the privilege of hosting families in our facility. Volunteers serve meals, connect with families, and help provide overnight hosting. If you’d like to volunteer with Family Promise, click the button below to contact Chrissy Sanders.
CHEER is an after-school mentoring program we oversee in partnership with Stevens Primary School. Mentors assist with homework, promote literacy, and be a positive, compassionate presence for children in our local school district. We host CHEER on Wednesdays at 3:30pm-4:30pm during the school year. If you’d like to volunteer with CHEER, click the button below to contact Colby Kolb.
We host a regional MOPS group on 2nd and 4th Thursdays in the fall and spring. MOPS exists to encourage, equip, and develop every mother of preschoolers to realize her potential as a woman, mother and leader in the name of Jesus Christ. Please refer to their FB for updated info during COVID.
